Dr. Steve Kokorelis

Dentistry has always been a part of my life. I grew up surrounded by a family of dentists—including three uncles, an aunt, a cousin, and my older brother, Dr. James Kokorelis. I am proud to continue that family tradition, and I especially enjoy the opportunity to practice alongside my brother at Parkville Family Dentistry.

I believe excellent dentistry begins with listening to my patients and understanding their individual needs, concerns, and goals. My approach is compassionate, patient-centered, and grounded in evidence-based dentistry. I take the time to explain treatment options clearly so that my patients can make informed decisions about their care. Together, we develop treatment plans that promote long-term oral health while also considering each patient's overall well-being.

My education and professional experience have given me a unique scientific perspective on dentistry. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. My background also includes research and publications involving oral microbial pathogens, as well as research experience in the private sector with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.

I am committed to continually advancing my knowledge and skills so that I can provide my patients with comprehensive, modern dental care. I incorporate the latest technologies, techniques, and scientific evidence into my everyday practice while maintaining the personal attention and individualized care that patients have come to expect at Parkville Family Dentistry.

For me, dentistry is about more than treating teeth. It is about building lasting relationships with my patients, earning their trust, and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles for years to come.
